Culture and Philosophy

Seventh Inning Softball™ was founded on the principles of providing softball athletes an innovative and comfortable environment to learn and develop their skills. Within this organization every aspiring softball player is welcome to learn, grow and assimilate into our softball culture. As an owner or staff member, the philosophy of Seventh Inning is to make sure our students and families come first.  Clients are not a number they are family and a core value here. Make each kid feel like one of the guys/girls and part of our clubhouse.  High five, have fun and never forget why we love this game.  This is not a job but a way of life!

Mission Statement

To empower, inspire and motivate athletes professionally through softball education and its culture.

Vision Statement

To become the national leader in professional baseball instruction and competitive travel teams franchises.

Seventh Inning Softball has founded, grown, and maintained our travel program on the premise of injecting all-encompassing instruction into the playing careers of our athletes. We believe wholeheartedly that growth and development does not come from the number of games that are played, but by the time spent by both the player and our staff concentrating on their individual game. As Professionals and teachers of the game, we are passionate about investing time in our players individually to ensure that they have the tools necessary to play at any level they desire. This passion to teach incorporates all phases of the growth and development process: skill instruction, mental approach, health and wellness, and strength, speed, and agility training.

About the Program

The Seventh Inning Lady Royals program consists of three pillars we believe lead to growth, development, and success.

  1. Player Development

  2. Quality Instruction

  3. Commitment

Player Development: We want our players to be well rounded athletes but more importantly well rounded individuals.  We want to give our players skills that are not only for the softball field but also for life.  Many lessons learned on the field can be carried with them for years to come.  The sad truth is, there are limited chances for players to play past college.  Softball is not a career sport.  But the mental toughness, team work, and work ethic that they learn through Seventh Inning can be used in every facet of their life.

Quality Instruction: We want to give our players the latest and greatest softball knowledge available.  We also want them to learn from various coaches in order to give them more than one way of completing a task or doing a skill.  At Seventh Inning, we will often bring in college softball players, former high level softball players and high level coaches in order to even further our game.  We want to give our players every opportunity and asset possible in order for them to reach their personal playing goals.

Commitment: We are committed to developing our players and making sure they are able to reach their highest potential and goals.  With our commitment to our players, we also expect our players to be committed to bettering themselves in all facets.  That means making good grades, working hard at practice, and being a good teammate.

What is Included

Inclusions are always a very popular question for families. What do I get for my money? Below you will find a breakdown of the key features we utilize at Seventh Inning to produce value for our players and families.

+ All our players have unlimited access to cage time at the Ninth Inning Facility based on availability.

+ Access to TEAM camps/clinics held periodically throughout the year that focus on position-specific fundamentals as well as teaching the mental aspect of the game.

+ Discounted gear through the Wilson/Demarini Team Shop

+ Tournament fees, insurance policies, umpires, field rental, facility upkeep, cage time, program resources, and coach’s salaries.

+ For ALL teams, team equipment needs such as softballs, line-up cards, training tools, etc.

What to Expect

+ At Seventh Inning you can expect to play a 2-3 tournament fall season and an 9-11 tournament Spring/Summer season (weather permitting). Seventh Inning encourages participation in other sports with the understanding that the Lady Royals Program is a year-round program based on growth and development. Believing in the concept of a FULL program, we will compete in a fall tournament schedule and we expect all of our players to participate, as they are able. This is truly the only way to learn about each other, our strengths, and our weaknesses so that we can take the off-season to work on our deficiencies and hone our skills to be the best team we can be in the spring/summer. In addition to the tournament schedule, players can expect to practice two times per week utilizing the indoor facility as well as outdoor practice fields.  As we continue our partnerships with our rental facilities, we plan to utilize these facilities for additional practices opportunities when available over the course of the season to maximize that on-field development!
